Young Reporter Award Winner: Ed Ou

OBC Artist Ed Ou won 1st Prize in the Young Reporter Award category, for his photographs of the Egyptian Revolution, at the Prix Bayeux-Calvados des correspondants de guerre.  The Bayeux-Calvados war correspondents event pays tribute to journalists working in precarious conditions to create art and document world affairs. This award ceremony recognizes journalists around the world in print , radio, television and photography.

Michel Puech, of Le Journal de la Photographie, caught up with Ed Ou while in Amsterdam for the TEDFellows conference this summer. Read the interview here.

The New Yorker on South Sudan: Audio Slide Show featuring Dominic Nahr

OBC artist and photojournalist Dominic Nahr‘s photographs from South Sudan have been included in an audio slideshow posted on The New Yorker earlier this week on South Sudan’s first year of independence.
